Every transaction sits in a local database on your device. There is no server-side copy to breach, subpoena, or leak — not encrypted-at-rest on our infrastructure, not there at all. When you want a backup, it’s encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it leaves the app, and Pro can sync it to your own iCloud or Google Drive, under a key that never leaves your device.

It’s fast because it isn’t waiting

A tap that reads and writes a local database doesn’t make a network round-trip. There’s no spinner waiting on someone’s server, no “pull to refresh” that fails on bad WiFi. The speed isn’t an optimization — it’s the absence of a bottleneck.

Nothing is held hostage

Because the data is yours and local, editing and deleting are free forever, in every tier and every state. Cancel a subscription and the premium switches turn off — that’s the entire consequence. You’re never trapped in a read-only copy of your own records.
