Terms of Use
Effective 14 July 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Sumesphere (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the WealthWise application and any paid subscription to it. By downloading, installing or using WealthWise, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What WealthWise is
WealthWise is a personal finance tracking application. It helps you record and understand your own money — transactions, accounts, budgets, goals and debts — on your own device.
WealthWise is not a bank, a broker, a lender, a payment service, or a financial adviser. It does not move money, hold funds, or execute transactions. Any insight, projection, categorisation or recommendation the app produces is informational only, is generated automatically, and is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Decisions you make about your money are yours. Verify anything that matters against your bank’s own records — which remain the authoritative source, not ours.
2. Your account
You may use WealthWise as a guest, or sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining control of the sign-in method you choose and for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in India, and in any case at least 13 years old.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Doing so immediately revokes your sessions; see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is deleted and when.
3. Your data stays yours
The financial records you enter belong to you. WealthWise is offline-first: your transactions, accounts, budgets, categories, merchants, notes and balances are stored on your device, and — if you enable cloud backup — inside an encrypted backup in your own iCloud account. We do not receive them, and we cannot read them. This is a design property of the system, not merely a promise.
4. Subscriptions, billing and auto-renewal
WealthWise is free to use. Optional Pro and Ultra subscriptions unlock additional features, and are offered as monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscriptions. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you purchase.
Auto-renewing subscription terms. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends, at the price of the plan you selected.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device’s Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not retroactively refund the period you are already in, and you keep access until that period ends.
If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple, not by us. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s terms — we cannot issue, approve or deny a refund for an App Store purchase. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
We may change subscription prices. A price change never affects the period you have already paid for, and where the law or the App Store requires your consent to continue at a new price, your subscription will not renew at that price until you give it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use WealthWise for anything unlawful, or to track finances you have no right to track;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code from the app, except to the extent that restriction is unenforceable under applicable law;
- probe, attack, overload or circumvent any limit, gate or security control of our systems — including attempting to obtain a paid entitlement you have not paid for;
- resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the app or a subscription to it.
6. Availability
Because WealthWise is offline-first, the core app keeps working without us. Some features (sign-in, subscription checks, automatic import and cloud backup) depend on network services that we may modify, suspend or discontinue. We aim to keep them available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for interruptions outside our reasonable control.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WealthWise is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, that automatic categorisation or import will be accurate, or that it will meet your requirements. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of your use of WealthWise — including any financial decision made in reliance on it. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the subscription in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only to the extent permitted.
9. Acknowledgement
These Terms are concluded between you and Sumesphere only, and not with Apple Inc. Sumesphere, not Apple, is solely responsible for WealthWise and its content.
10. Scope of licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use WealthWise on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including sharing via Family Sharing where enabled.
11. Maintenance and support
Sumesphere is solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for WealthWise. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance or support services. Contact us at sumesphere@gmail.com.
12. Warranty
Sumesphere is solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law, to the extent not effectively disclaimed. If WealthWise fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to WealthWise, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our sole responsibility.
13. Product claims
Sumesphere, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to WealthWise or your possession and use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
14. Intellectual property claims
Sumesphere, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that WealthWise or your possession and use of it infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights.
15. Legal compliance and third-party beneficiary
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
You acknowledge and agree that Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and that upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use WealthWise after the change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Nothing here deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
